Obituary of Dorothy M. Nichols

NICHOLS, Dorothy M. Age 83 of Elgin, OK, formerly of Elmira, NY. She was born April 20, 1938 in Lansing, NY daughter of the late Leo and Ethel (Malone) Farrell and passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Merton Sr. in 2011, son Craig in 2019, sisters Nancy Turner and Shirley Farrell, brother Dick Farrell. She is survived by her sons George (Ellen) Nichols of OK, Merton, Jr. (Connie) Nichols of Victor, NY, Joseph (Adrienne) Nichols of AZ; daughters Gina Griffiths and Kathy (Tony) Fieno both of Elmira; sisters Margaret (John) Tinker of Montour Falls, NY, Alma Nichols of Bath, NY, Janet Clark of FL and Kathrine Milligan of Ithaca, NY along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her family gives a special thank you for the wonderful care and love given by Hospice and our Oklahoma family. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Thursday, June10th from 12 to 2 pm. Her memorial service will begin at 2 pm. Committal prayers and entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery (Heller Gardens)
