Obituary of Tyler Kordell Jones

Tyler Kordell Jones Age 22 of Elmira, NY. He was born July 4, 1998 in Elmira, the son of Paul and Tammy (Stewart) Jones and passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021 unexpectedly at home. He is survived by his parents; siblings Syairra, Sari and Terrence Jones all of Elmira; paternal grandmother Margie Jones (Grammie) of Elmira; maternal grandparents Nancy & Dave Stewart of Bath; companion Chelsea Babcock of Elmira along with aunts, uncles, many cousins and his favorite friend Ellie-Bean. Tyler was predeceased by his gramma Newman, gramma Cohen, aunt Evelyn and Sammy his dog. Tyler attended Notre Dame High School and graduated from Elmira High School., He was an outstanding football player throughout high school, known as "QB1", He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Tyler had a smile that would lite up any room he was in and had a contagious laugh that would make your belly hurt from laughing. We love you to the moon and back. Family and friends are invited to visit The Way Center, 132 Oakwood Ave., Elmira Heights on Wednesday, June 30th from 11 am to 1 pm. His funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Rev. James E. Jones will officiate. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
