Obituary of Keith Leroy Meckes

MECKES, Keith L. Age 84 of Elmira, NY. He was born February 23, 1937 in Deerfield, PA, son of the late James and Rose (Davis) Meckes and passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Wayne, Ralph and Donald and sister Joyce Merritt. He is survived by his wife Anna Frost Meckes; stepdaughter Lois (Paul) White of Bentley Creek, PA; step grandchildren Teres White of Elmira, Jacob White of Jackson Hole, WY, Keith White of Ithaca, Adrienne White of Mansfield, PA, Jacqueline White of Elmira, Lydia White of Elmira and Benjamin White of Bentley Creek, PA; step great grandchildren Seth and Ilana Horton of Elmira; brother Gary (Doris) Meckes of Canandaigua, NY; sister-in-law Betty Meckes of Rochester, NY along with several nieces and nephews. Keith owned many businesses throughout the years; used car lot, trucking company and blacktop company, to name a few. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Private services will take place at the convenience of the family with interment in Woodlawn National Cemetery.
