Obituary of Pauline P. Kerbein

KERBEIN, Pauline Age 88 of Elmira, NY. She was born April 16, 1933 in Elmira, NY, daughter of the late Russell and Marian (Ayers) Freeman and passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Elderwood at Waverly. She was predeceased by her husband John; sister and brother-in-law Jean and Frank Kerbein; brother Paul Freeman and sister Corky Craig. Pauline is survived by her children Linda and David Corkins with their son Jamie of Elmira; Scott and Sherry MacKeil of FL; Todd and Trish Kerbein with their children TJ and Justin of Horseheads; 4 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law Mary and Don Smith of FL along with several nieces and nephews. Pauline was a very active member of the Elmira Heights American Legion Auxiliary, serving as president and many other capacities. She enjoyed trips to the casino and everywhere she went, she always knew someone. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Thursday, July29th from 5 to 8 pm. Her funeral service will be held there on Friday, July 30th at 11 am. Rev. Patrick Connor will officiate. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Her family thanks the staff at Kindred Care and Elderwood for the wonderful care they provided to Pauline.
