Obituary of Marie J Sampsell

Sampsell, Marie J. Age 96 of Pine City, formerly of Lamoka Lake. She was born June 18, 1925 in Elmira, daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Foster) Hopkins and passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at home with her daughter at her side. She was predeceased by her husband Irvin "Bob", son Daniel Paul, daughter Sharon Hawkins, sons-in-law Ray Hawkins and Jim Osborne and sister Juanita. Marie is survived by her children Nancy (Mike) Clune of Myrtle Beach, SC, John Sampsell of Bradford, NY, Barbara Osborne of Pine City and Barry Sampsell of Bradford, NY along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nephews, great niece and great nephews. Marie was a dance instructor at Ferguson's School of Dance. She enjoyed being a waitress working at the Mark Twain Hotel, McCrory's, Tom Sawyer and Light's. She also enjoyed bowling. Family and friends are invited to Community Wesleyan Church, 2095 Grand Central Ave., Horseheads on Thursday, April 7th from 10 to 11 am. Her memorial service will follow at 11 am. Interment will take place in Woodlawn National Cemetery at 2 pm.
