Obituary of Mary Ann Bilsky

Mary Ann Bilsky Age 63 of Elmira Heights, NY. She was born September 15, 1958 in Elmira, daughter of the late Joseph and Sophia (Hayduk) Bilsky and passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Bethany Manor. She is survived by her brothers Robert J. (Betty) Bilsky of Rochester, NY and John J. Bilsky of Austin, TX; niece Kristina (Hunter) Wright of Knoxville, TN along with numerous cousins. Mary Ann was a communicant of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. She retired from Glove House; was treasurer of the Embroiders Guild of America and a member of the auxiliary at St. Joseph's Hospital and Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was known by many for her artistic skill creating Ukrainian Easter eggs (pysanky) and her cross-stitch work. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Thursday, April 28th from 5 to 7 pm. Panikhyda will be held at 6 pm. Prayer will be offered there on Friday, April 29th at 9:30 am followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 am in St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. Committal prayers and interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery.
