Obituary of George Gould

Gould, George E., Jr. "Peanut" Age 64 of Elmira Heights, NY, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, peacefully surrounded by his loving family, after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest while fishing. He was predeceased by his mother Madalyn Mealy. Peanut is survived by his daughter and fiancé Nikki Gould & Justin Bennett; grandchildren Lincoln and Antonella Bennett all of Elmira Heights; father George E. (Elizabeth) Gould, Sr. of Blairsville, GA; sister Dani Chappell of Horseheads; nephew Daran (Darcie) Chappell of Montour Falls; stepfather Richard Mealy of Horseheads; former wife Mary Zawko-Gould of Elmira Heights along with many loyal employees, customers and friends who he thought of as family. Peanut worked for Gary Escher's Tire & Service Center since the start of his career and purchased the business in 1991 from Gary Escher. He spent his free time puttering at the shop, fishing and hunting. Let's not forget the love for #3. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 6th from 12 to 4 pm at his beloved garage, Escher's Tire & Service Center, 103 Lynwood Ave., Elmira Heights. In lieu of flowers or donations, a way to remember Peanut is to make time with your family and friends to make simple, yet lifelong memories.
