Obituary of Alexander W. Reynolds

Reynolds, Alexander W. Age 93 of Horseheads, NY passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 at home after an extended illness. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years, Dorothy in 2016; his mother Cora Reynolds; brothers Bird, Charles and Richard Reynolds; sisters Alice Komarmi and Evelyn Cavallaro. He is survived by his sons, Douglas Reynolds, Brian Reynolds of TN, and Alan (BJ) Reynolds of WV; daughters, Cheryl (Joe) Jones, Nancy Reynolds, and Karen Lewis (Bob); grandchildren, Jeremy (Nikki) Jones, Justice (Sonya) Jones, and Jordan Jones, Barbara Ann (Mike Vowell) and Trudy (John) Eiland, Justin (Jen) and Megan Hollenbeck, Shawn, Fred, Kenneth Lewis, Robert Brick Jr., Brittney (Kevin) Czerniak, and Tori Reynolds; 23 great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Alexander retired from the Marine Corp as a Master Gunnery Sergeant with 30 years of service. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Sunday, August14th from 2 to 4 pm. His funeral service will be held there on Monday, August 15th at 11 am. Rev. Richard Farrell will officiate. Committal prayers and interment, with military honors will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Alexander through donations to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023
