Obituary of Gerald Allen Baxter

Gerald A. Baxter Age 81 of Canton, PA, formerly of Elmira, NY. He was born July 13, 1941 in Olean, NY, son of the late Norman and Elizabeth (Farr) Baxter and passed away Monday, September 5, 2022. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Connie in 2011; brother Donald (June) Baxter; sisters Shirley (Ray) Yeomans, Lillian (Stanley) Bean, Barbara (Bob) Wandricke; grandson Jacob Koski. He is survived by his sister Betty Bly; children Christine (Robert) Keyes, Lorrie Baxter (Lorin Andrien) and David Baxter (Teri Waite); grandchildren Jeff. Jessica, Dan, Robert, Celine, Matt, Marc, Lynzi and Kaydi; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jerry retired from Schweizer Aircraft. He was an avid bowler and loved playing horseshoes. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Friday, October 7th from 11 am to 1 pm. His memorial service will begin at 1 pm. Committal prayers and interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
