Obituary of Mary Lee Rutty

Mary Lee Rutty Age 77, formerly of Horseheads, NY was born January 8, 1945 in Towanda, PA the daughter of the late Francis Schrann and Betty (Messersmith) Sullivan. Mary passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Seneca View Nursing Home in Montour Falls, NY where she resided. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Schrann and Betty (Messersmith) Sullivan; life-partner, Charles W. Baker Jr.; sister, Marcene Sullivan; daughter, Deborah Baker; grandson Scott Schrann and great grandson, Zachary N. Kessing. She is survived by her loving children: daughters, Michelle (Frank) Kessing and Penny Kessing; son, Albert Blow; brother, Francis (Janet) Schrann; beloved grandchildren: Christina Kessing, Tiffanie (Brett) Kessing, Jerome (Samantha) Kessing, Kristin Baker, Timothy (Brittany) Kessing, Ryan (Katrina) Kessing, Brittnie (Derick) Blow, Courtney Matthews and Makeris Davis; along with several great grandchildren, great great grandson, Blake Thomas and also several nieces and nephews. Mary was a graduate of the Wyalusing High School. She then went on to work in a shoe factory in Waverly, NY on Banana Curve, where she met Charles. She also held jobs at the Bradford County Manor as an Aide, 10 years at Thatcher Glass in Elmira Heights, NY and was also a maid at the downtown Holiday Inn. Mary was a wonderful homemaker and took exceptional care of her home. She especially loved the time spent with her family and always loved having them around. Family and friends are invited to her graveside service on Wednesday, September 21st at 11 am in Forest Lawn Memorial Park 563 Jerusalem Hill Road Elmira, NY. Deacon George Welch will officiate.
