Obituary of Veronica Turner

Veronica (Gekowski) Turner Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, a few days after her 99th birthday. She was born September 8, 1923 in Morris Run, PA to Phil and Ida Dzikowski. She is survived by two sons, Robert (Kit) Turner; Chuck Turner; granddaughters, Kirstin (Rick) Clark and Kendra Turner. Veronica lived long enough to meet three great-grandchildren, McKinley Jean, Caiden and Kellan Clark, who called her "Gramma Boosh." She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and all four of her younger siblings. It is likely she is dragging them all off to the closest bingo parlor. Veronica and the entire Turner family would like to thank the nursing staff of Chemung County Nursing Facility especially the entire 3rd floor staff and Mrs. Dawn Blair and family for their years of attentive care; as well as Bill and Mikki Seymour. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and time to be announced. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home is assisting the Turner Family.
