Obituary of Llewellyn Lee Ostrander

Llewellyn Lee Ostrander Age 76, was born July 23, 1946 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Llewellyn M. and Mary (Bramble) Ostrander. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Elcor Health Services in Horseheads, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tom and Ted; sisters, Kim and Laurie. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carol (Buchholz) Ostrander; beloved children: Matthew (Diana), Camille (Jim), Holly (Chris), David and Drew (Samantha); grandchildren: Amber, Billy (Sabrina), Jason (Kiley), Emma, Thomas (Carly), Tony (Erin), Casey (Sarah), Morgan, Taylor, Malina and Hailey Jo; great grandchildren: Irish, Lincoln, Addy, Ambrose, Julius, Willow and Ezra; brothers, Larry (Paula) and Davey (Mary); sister, Debbie; sister-in-law's: Mary Osteen and Linda Ostrander; brother-in-law's: David (Nanette) Buchholz and Michael (Tari) Buchholz; along with several nieces and nephews. Lee was a retired Sergeant First Class Veteran of the United States Army and proudly severed his country, with one tour in Viet Nam and 25 years with the local Army Reserve. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 8 pm. Pastor Clyde McCaskill will officiate. Interment will take place in Woodlawn National Cemetery at the convenience of the family where the Chemung County Veteran's Honor Guard will accord Mr. Ostrander with Military Honors. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home is assisting the Ostrander family.
