Obituary of Patricia J. Wood

Patricia J. Wood Of Elmira, NY Age 87, was born October 24, 1935 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late Leland and Melva (Nellis) Potter. She passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the Corning Hospital. Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, Chester Wood; brothers, Richard Potter, James Potter and Charles Potter; sisters, Donna Paramore, Joann Godfrey and Jacqueline Talada; daughter, Catherine Kemmer; granddaughter, Amanda Kemmer; grandson, Jesse Kemmer. She is survived by her beloved children: Jacqueline Gilmore of Horseheads, NY, Steven J. Thomas of Corning, NY, Raymond (Julie) Kemmer of Elmira, NY, Susan (Timothy) King of Bloomfield, NY, Robert (Suzanne) Kemmer of Wellsburg, NY, Patti (John) Wakeman of Beaver Dams, NY and John Wood of Manhattan, NY; sister, Charlene McCarthy of Elmira, NY; along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Patricia was an avid animal lover and enjoyed her many birds as well. She was kind, sweet and giving and never turned anyone away. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Her Celebration of Life will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM. Reverend Donald Paul Jr. will officiate. Walter J. Kent is assisting the Wood family.
