Obituary of David A. Corkins

David A. Corkins Age 59 of Elmira, NY. He was born March 8, 1963 in Elmira, son of the late John and Katherine (Travis) Corkins and passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022 unexpectedly at home. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law Pauline Kerbein. David is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Linda; son Jamie, the apple of his eye; siblings Mary who was the sweetheart of his life, Jackie & Larry with their children, Cindy & Gene with her children; brother-in-law and friend Scott (Sherry); dear friend Father Patrick Connor; his beloved canine companions Shelby and Jordan. David was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He dedicated his life to his mother and sister Mary and he had an amazing amount of love and support for his mother-in-law Pauline. In his early career, he worked with handicapped citizens, a vocation that came naturally to him. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Sunday, December 4th from 1 to 4 pm. Prayers will be offered there on Monday, December 5th at 9:30 am, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Mary's Church. Rev. Patrick L. Connor, Celebrant. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
