Obituary of Todd R. Shumaker

Todd R. Shumaker Of Erin, NY Passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Strong Memorial Hospital University of Rochester, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 54. Todd was born January 17,1969 to the late Gayle Shumaker and Ruth Shumaker. He is survived by his loving life partner, Maressa Savino; mother, Ruth (Rathbun) Shumaker; brother, Mark (Debbie) Shumaker; sister, Susan Wenzel (Fran Connor); sister-in-law, Kim Shumaker; uncles, Robert (Kay) Rathbun and Carroll Wooster; step-son, Sage Pesesky (Amanda Sutton); Maressa's mother, Brigitte Savino; Maressa's brother, Shawn (Selena) Savino; canine companions, "Tucker", "Cooper" and "Bailey", and feline companion, "Zippy". Todd is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by father, Gayle Shumaker; brother, Scott Shumaker; aunts, Doris Wooster, Josephine Wright; uncles, Philip Wright and Harold Rathbun. Todd worked at Anchor Glass for 25 years. He loved his family and treasured time spent with them. Todd was one of a kind, he loved extreme sports; snowmobiling and motocross. He loved boating and time spent at Seneca Lake. He also enjoyed computers and the latest technologies. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 3 to 5 pm. His memorial service will follow at 5 pm. Reverend Jeremiah Dewey will officiate. Todd will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy, PA at the convenience of the family
