Obituary of Roxanne Townsend

Roxanne Townsend Age 66 of Southport, NY. She was born August 1st 1956 in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late Donald Delos and Rosetta (Fields) Darrow. She passed away on Monday evening, March 27th 2023. In addition to her parents, Roxanne was predeceased by her sister Cheryl Talada in 2019. and nephew Jeremy Darrow. She is survived by her sons Paul (Crystal), and Joshua Townsend; grandchildren Kersten (Christopher Schreiber), Serenity, and Delainey Townsend; brothers Mark (Joyce) and James Darrow; sister Cora Bliss; nieces and nephews Robert (Amber) Talada, Lisa Bliss, Michael Darrow, Jennifer Darrow, Robert Darrow and Michaelle Morgan. Roxanne worked for over 20 years as a Domestic Violence Counselor with the Safe House Domestic Violence Shelter in Elmira. Her devotion to helping those in need was evident in her daily life. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, whose pride and love surrounded her family. She will be greatly missed by all those who were fortunate to have met her.
