Obituary of David J. Anderson

David J. Anderson Age 50 of Hector, NY. He was born December 20, 1972 in Elmira, the son of James Anderson and Carol (Sayles) Anderson. He passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023. He was predeceased by his father James Anderson and sister Donna Anderson Funk. David is survived by his mother Carol Anderson; brothers Bill (Diane) Anderson of Churchville, NY, Chris (Crissy) Anderson of Wentzville, MO; brother-in-law David Funk of Rolesville, NC; nephews Zachary Anderson and Ryan Funk; nieces Alita and Emma Anderson. David was employed with Johnson Schmidt & Associates Architects as Vice President, Project Manager and Business Manager. He loved Seneca Lake where he enjoyed sailing the lake and entertaining family and friends. David was the consummate sailor at all times and in all things. He navigated with aplomb and alacrity in rough seas, calm seas, with the wind, against the wind, and across the wind. His quiet skill was enviable. David was a wonderful son, brother and friend to all. He had a quick, dry, subtle wit. He was a chef, a tour guide, and a host. He was a kind, giving person. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Thursday, May 4th from 5 to 7 pm. His funeral service will follow at 7 pm.
