Obituary of Debra Ann Phillips

PHILLIPS, Debra Ann Age 57 of Elmira, NY. She was born March 25, 1956 in Elmira, the daughter of Donald and Vivian (Emery) Deats and passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her mother Vivian Vargson in 1999 and is survived by her husband of 35 years, Edward J. Phillips; children and their spouses Dean and Kris Phillips of Shawnee, OK, Nicol Osborne, Joshua Phillips and Tammy and John Garvin all of Elmira; grandchildren Samantha, Christopher, Melody, Evan, Emersyn and Makayla; father Donald Deats of Elmira; brother Brian (Teresa Cole) Deats of Millerton, PA; sister Diane Shrout of Beaver Dams along with several nieces and nephews. Debra was a Registered Nurse, employed with St. Joseph's Hospital. Family was everything to her; especially her grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Wednesday, November 20th from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8pm. Her funeral service will follow at 8 pm. Committal prayers and interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
