Obituary of Evan C. Densmore

Evan C. Densmore Age 92 of Elmira, NY. He was born May 14, 1931 in Ulysses, PA, son of the late Lyle and Lydia (Lewis) Densmore and passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023 after a brief illness. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister & brother-in-law Betty Ann & Arthur Rohde. Evan is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nancy (Panetta); children Deborah & Rich Mabie of SC with children Kristen & Katie, Susan & David Swartwood of Horseheads with children Megan & Josh, Daryl & Mary Densmore of Elmira with children Kyle & Kristopher, Tracey Densmore of Elmira; 16 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and dear friends and his beloved dog Angel. Evan retired from Elmira Correctional Facility. He was a faithful, active member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church and he was an avid hunter. Family and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 8th at 11 am in New Beginnings United Methodist Church, 300 E. Miller St., Elmira. Rev. Bob Briggs will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Evan through donations to New Beginnings United Methodist Church.
