Orlando Josiah Vargas

Age 5 of Horseheads, NY passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023 very unexpectedly. He was born on June 28, 2017 in Elmira, the son of Orlando and Jessica (Kent) Vargas. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Charlie; maternal grandparents Charles & Cindy Kent of Millerton, PA; paternal grandparents Elizabeth & Carlos Velazquez of Bethlehem, PA and Orlando & Alex Vargas of Allentown, PA along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Orlando was precious to Jesus and to his parents. Handsome, talkative, kind-hearted, and helpful; Orlando blessed everyone he met. He loved learning and playing with his brother; collecting Pokémon cards with his friends, and worshipping with his church family. Orlando believed the gospel and trusted Jesus in life and in death. Family and friends are invited to visit Emmanuel Community Church, 237 E. Miller St., Elmira on Monday, July 3rd from 10 am to 12 noon. His funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
