Joyce A. Poorman

Age 83 of Elmira, NY. She was born in Elmira NY on November 26, 1939. Passed away to the arms of our Lord in her sleep on Sunday, July 9, 2023 in her home surrounded by her family. Joyce was predeceased by her husband Clyde Poorman, Sr last month whom she was married to for 60 years. In life Joyce spent her free time crocheting Afghans for her loved ones, cooking, baking, solving puzzle books and telling stories to whomever visited. She is survived by her children Sheri Wade, Clyde Poorman, Jr., Patrick Jordan, Michael Jordan and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Friday, July 14th from 11 am to 12 noon. Her funeral service will be held at 12 noon. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Chemung Cemetery.
