Age 19, of Elmira, NY was born May 22, 2004 in Elmira the son of Tony James and Alicia Kare (Wrenn) Brimmer; passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 30, 2023. His grandfathers: Edward Wrenn Jr., William McDonald and Wiley Dean Griner preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving parents, Tony and Alicia; beloved siblings, Caley (Chris) Hand, Mariah Terwilliger and Mackenzie Brimmer; grandmothers: Joan Wrenn and Dorothy (Timothy) Baldick; nephew, Declan; nieces, Aubriella, Novalee, Aleena, Delaney and Layla; aunts, Tara Griner (Cody); Heather Kowatch and Mariah McDonald; uncle, Gordon Baldick (Nadine); God mother's: Christy Carpenter and Telisa Vanderpool; God father's: James Gorham and Vincent Brown; soulmates Kyla Manwaring and his dog Remington (Remy); along with several cousins and many friends, but to Matthew everyone was family. Matthew was an outdoorsman and loved fishing and playing golf. His favorite baseball teams were the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers; his favorite football team was the Philadelphia Eagles. From the age of 4 to 14, Matthew played little league for Elmira Heights and was coached by his father Tony. He was very athletic and played sports for both Elmira Heights and Elmira. A Celebration of Matthew's Life will take place on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Reformatory Clubhouse North Hoffman Road Elmira at 2:00 pm.
