Obituary of Irene K. Palmer

Irene K. Palmer Age 87, was born July 21, 1936 in North Chemung, NY the daughter of the late Fletcher and Rose (Mason) Stage. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Besides her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her daughter, Katherine Irene Brague; sister, Virginia Silvernail; brother, George Stage. Survivors left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 38 years, Clyde J. Palmer; children: Dorothy "Dottie" Guisewhite (Gilbert Frisbie), Barbara Hall, Clyde Palmer Jr., Connie Newman, Lori, and Billy Palmer; brother: Charles (Shirley) Stage; grandchildren: Darla Hall, Jason Drake and Brett Brague; great grandchildren: Madison Drake, Livinia Drake and Makia Hall; along with several nieces and nephews. Irene retired from Elmira College after many years of dedicated and faithful service. In her free time she enjoyed gambling, especially at Tioga Downs. She also enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City as well. She loved her birds and bird watching. She was an excellent artist and painter and would often paint of the old saw blades and doors. At her request there will be no services. Walter J. Kent is assisting the Palmer family.
