Obituary of Yolanda R Howell

Yolanda R. "Lonnie" Howell Age 97 of Elmira Heights, NY. She was born December 17, 1926 in Canandaigua, NY, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (LeGrett) Ricciotti and passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 at home. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Phillip Ricciotti and Frank Ricciotti; sisters Katherine Coleates, Lena Barnum Genevieve Minute, Frances Musolino and Margaret Everett. She is survived by her daughter Diane Howell Littlefield; sons William P. Howell, Jr. and Robert L. Howell; grandchildren Desiree, Jessica, Christopher, Scarlet, Emily, Patrick, John, Joshua and Joseph; great grandchildren Giovanni, Ayla, Kelby, Everett, Brooks, Madison, Colton, Ellianna, Grayson, Zoey, Finley, Liam, Colton, Delaney and Arianna; sisters, Josephine Welch, Betty Holland, and Stella Furfure along with several nieces and nephews. Lonnie was a member of the Catholic War Vets Ladies Auxiliary serving as President for 6 years and she worked bingo there. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion and VFW both in Elmira Heights. She was a member of the Ukrainian Club and the Polish Arts Society. She volunteered at the Food Bank of the Southern Tier and she was a recipient of the Chemung County Distinguished Volunteers of the year award. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Thursday, February 29th from 2 to 4 pm. Her memorial service will begin at 4 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in St. Mary's Church, Canandaigua, NY at a later date and will be announced.
