Obituary of Joann L. Watts

Joann L. Watts Age 59 of Elmira, NY. She was born February 25, 1965 in Elmira, daughter of the late George F. and Doris (Croft) Benjamin and passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024 unexpectedly at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles F. Benjamin and Doris Benjamin Simons; brother Gary Benjamin; sister Kathy Norton; nephew Bobby-Lee Charles Benjamin and stepfather George Simons. Joann is survived by her husband Jerry; children Joshua Benjamin (Sue), Joseph Grover (Victoria) and Jennifer Grover (John) all of Elmira; stepchildren Trina M. Radford (Paul) of Beaver Dams, Sheri L. Watts and Gerald Watts, Jr. (Marie) all of Elmira; siblings Robert (Ellen) Benjamin, Charels Benjamin, Paula Hartman and Penny Benjamin all of Elmira; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Joann was a longtime bartender at her family's business, Mr. B's Family Restaurant on Erie St. in Elmira. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing and camping, but most important to her was her family. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Tuesday, April 2nd from 5 to 7 pm. Her funeral and committal services will follow at 7 pm. Burial will take place in Wyalusing Cemetery, Wyalusing, PA at the convenience of her family.
