PALMER, Helen Mary

Age 91 of Elmira Heights, NY. She was born April 30. 1932 in Elmira, NY, daughter of the late John and Mary Hryskanich and passed away Monday April 15, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Richard in 2015. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Mark (Patti) Palmer and Mike Palmer; daughters MaryJo (Mike) Houghtaling and Michelle Palmer; brother Paul Hryskanich; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews including special granddaughter Emily Houghtaling and special family friend Dorothy "Dode" Samchisen. Everyone who knew her, loved her. Helen equals love. Love of God, family and country. She was active in the Elmira Heights Senior Center, the Appleridge Senior Center and she competed in the Senior Olympics. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest with her husband Richard in Scotchtown Cemetery, Erin, NY.
