John G. DiStefano

Age 66 of Elmira, NY. He was born May 10, 1958 in Elmira, son of the late John M. and Carmella (Lisi) DiStefano and passed away Monday, July 1, 2024 very unexpectedly. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother-in-law Rory Kessler. John is survived by his husband Larry Hoskins; sisters Mary Rose Becker and Gerianne Kessler all of Elmira; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Judy Smith, Donna Arnold and Rusty Hoskins; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews including special niece Brandie Lloyd. John was employed with GST BOCES in Horseheads. It was John's request that there be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. John loved his animals, so his family requests that in lieu of flowers, please remember John through donations to the Chemung County SPCA, 2435 State Route 352, Elmira, NY 14903.
