We regret the passing of our loving Mother and Grandmother. Carol J. Austin, age 82, was born October 5, 1941 in Elmira NY, the daughter of the late Dorance and Mabel (Starkey) Austin. She passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at St. Joesph's Hospital. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: daughters, Tina (Michael) Hazen, Helena Hibbard (boyfriend Daniel), son, Joseph Hibbard, daughter-in-law, Annie Hibbard; grandchildren, Thomas Neily, Sarah Starbuck, Nina (David) Swartout, Kristen (Adam) Tuminello, Jacob (Carrie) Hibbard, and Jana Hibbard; along with 7great grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her son, Wesley Hibbard and grandson, Michael Neily. Mom was a retired and dedicated LPN at St. Joseph Hospital in Elmira NY. Family and friends are welcome to attend a service celebrating Carol's life on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Journey Church 116 Breesport Road Horseheads, NY.
