Obituary of Clark Z. Smith
In Loving Memory of Clark Zebedee Smith
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Clark Zebedee Smith. Clark departed this life on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the age of 62, surrounded by his loving family in his final moments. Clark was a man of great intellect, compassion, and humor. He cherished his family deeply, loving unconditionally and leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his devoted daughter, LaQuanna Hill (Clifton Hill), his son, Devon Smith, six beloved grandchildren—three granddaughters and three grandsons—and his loving sisters: Genora Scarborough, Valerie Gittens, Debbie Smith, and China Sturdivant. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Orlando Smith, Winsford Mobley, and Zachary Smith Sr., and is reunited with them in eternal peace. Clark is also survived by his nephew, Kamel Scarborough, who selflessly cared for him with unwavering devotion, along with a host of cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Clark's legacy is one of love, laughter, and a life well-lived. His presence brought joy and warmth, and he will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day." — 2 Timothy 4:7-8
