Obituary of Pennycandy Horsey

Age 52, was born May 30, 1972 in Elmira, NY the daughter of Robert and Rose (Sawyer) Farnsworth. She went home to be with her Lord on Monday, December 2, 2024 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Her father, Bob preceded her in death. She is survived by her beloved mother, Rose; loving husband of 24 years, Richard J. Horsey Jr; 3 beautiful young daughters: Gabrielle Elizabeth Horsey (20 years old), Tiffany Grace Horsey (16 years old), and Livia Leeya Horsey (12 years old); her brothers: Bill Lee (Paula) Farnsworth of Hickory, NC; with their children, Trevor Farnsworth with his children, Alaina and Oliver Farnsworth and Dayten Farnsworth; Matthew James (Faun) Farnsworth of Watkins Glen, NY; with their children, Nathan (Brianna) Farnsworth with their daughter, Madilyn Anne; Sophia Grace Farnsworth and Syndey Amoris Rice; Sonny Mark (Jill) Farnsworth of Horseheads, NY with their children, Zoey and Jaxon Farnsworth; Grant Lewis (Andrea) of Elmira, NY. Penny worked at Sam's Club where she met Richard and where she retired after 20 years dedicated of service. Penny was a faithful member of Journey Center Church in Horseheads, NY, for 24 years. Penny was a loving, dedicated wife and mother to her 3 girls. A dedicated member of Journey Center Church, she was always willing to help others, and her love and compassion for other people never went unnoticed. She taught Sunday school and was also the director. In 2024, Penny was diagnosed with cancer and sadly passed away on 12/2/2024 within the same year. Through her long and tough battle, she was a beacon of light who never gave up and strived to take care of our family and care for her mother, Rose. Family and friends are invited to visit The Journey Center 116 Breesport Road Horseheads, NY 14845 on Saturday, December 14, 2024 where the Celebration of Life will be held for Penny at 11:00 am.
