Age 72, of Elmira, NY passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 surrounded by love. Born March 13, 1952, she graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School and Corning Community College. She spent her career dedicated to helping others, retiring from Pathway's in Corning, NY. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Cathy was known for her caring nature and her unwavering commitment to those she loved. She cherished the time spent with her family, especially her great granddaughters, Emelia and Olivia, who were the light of her life. Cathy was very talented. She loved crafting, crocheting and ceramics. She spread her joy of these crafts by gifting her creations to family and friends. Later in life she spent countless hours quilting and sewing. Going on "shop hops" with her good friend, Bev. Her creative spirit will be remembered by all who knew her. Cathy is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Vincent Dove) Roldan; son, Todd (Ella) Bennett; her grandchildren, Anthony (Jessica) Roldan, Daniel (Elizabeth) Roldan and Alma Bennett; honorary grandchildren, Vinnie (Alyssa) Dove, Samantha (Zach Tobey) Dove, Kyle (Jaylin) Dove and all of her great grandchildren; sisters, Donna (Don) Brimmer, Connie Bernas and Patty Simoens; along with many nieces and nephews. Cathy was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles Bennett; parents, Ken and Jane (Gray) Davis; siblings, Shirley (Jim) Russell, Margaret Davis, Bonnie Davis and Bill (Carolyn) Davis; her beloved dog, "Bella". A Memorial to celebrate her life will be planned at a late date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in her memory be made to Stray Haven Humane Society 194 Shepard Road Waverly, NY 14892 or to Guthrie Hospice 421 Tomahawk Road Towanda, PA 18848.
