Andrea Lynette Hayes was born on July 15, 1973, in Beckley, West Virginia, to Ms. Patricia Hayes. Andrea migrated from West Virginia to Springfield, Mass., to Elmira, NY, where she had made her home. Full of energy and love, Andrea worked as a CNA at various nursing homes. Andrea was a caregiver to many and loved all those who graced her presence.

On Tuesday, December 10th, we lost Andrea, best known as "Auntie Pig" to cardiac arrest. She had a long, hard fight with pain and still managed to smile daily, fighting through her tears and keeping a brave face. Unfortunately, a year to date, she received heart surgery, which resulted in her last year on this earth relying on a pacemaker. Still determined to be her resilient, strong, and beautiful self, she pushed forward with daily workouts and specialized diets that caused significant weight loss and allowed the pacemaker to shift out of place.

As always, she will be loved and missed deeply. Andrea was pre-deceased by her mother Patricia Hayes. Her Memories are carried on through her son Eric Wilson, her brother Charles Hayes, Sister Felicia Williams, and brother-in-law Alonzo Williams, all of Springfield, Mass. Special God-Daughters Melissa Carter and Stephanie Green, special God-son Knuckles; Special niece and nephews Raven, Alonzo Jr., Jammal, and Jaleo Williams of Springfield, Mass. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, extended family, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Monday, December 23, 2024 from 11:00 to 12:00 pm at Faith Temple COGIC 765 Harper Street Elmira, NY. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 12 pm. Interment and Committal Prayers will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
