MAYO, Anthony C.

Age 56, of Elmira, NY passed away on October 8, 2012. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Friday, October 12th from 12 noon to 1 pm. His funeral service will follow there at 1 pm. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Anthony was born August 16, 1956 in Elmira, New York. Graduated from Elmira Free Academy in 1974. He was very athletic in all sports. Anthony is survived by his mother, Inez Purifoy; father, Jasper Mayo, Sr.; three children and three step-children, Rachel Babuta, Calvin Mayo, Anderson Brooks, Mary Brooks, and Lacinda Brooks; four grandchildren; soulmate and best friend, Lucinda Brooks; sisters, Vera William, Shirley Kambeitz (Shawn); brothers, Jasper W. Mayo Jr. (Holly), Darnell Mayo, Daryle Gardner (Joanne) ; several nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends throughout his life; his little buddy Ahquille Woodruff (godson); sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law, and mother-in-law Mama Dukes.
