Obituary of William B. Williams

WILLIAMS, William B., Jr. "Billy" Age 57 of Elmira, NY. He was born August 6, 1956 in Elmira, son of the late William B. and Melvina R. (Newport) Williams and passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters and brothers Mary Ann and Barbara Williams, Deborah L. Ashley, Michael G., Herbert Mark and Roddy L. Williams. Billy is survived by his wife Debbra; stepchildren Debbra (James) Best, Johanna Ashford, Johnny (Keysha) Ashford and Jerome Marvin all of Elmira; sisters and brothers Nellie Williams of Havelock, NC and Mitchell Williams of Elmira, Mona Williams of Syracuse, Bavan Y. Williams and Jeffrey A. Williams both of Buffalo along with 8 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Billy had a gift for fixing things and if he thought you were in need, he would help you. He also had a love for animals. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Friday, August 1st from 11 am to 1 pm. His funeral service will be held at 1 pm. Rev. Robert Smith will officiate. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
