Cecce, Georgia JoAnne

74, of Elmira, NY died peacefully after a long and courageous battle against cancer. She was born on January 1, 1938, in Johnson City, NY, daughter of George F. and Beatrice (Maines) Smith. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Albert A. Cecce Jr; children Anthony and Christina (Glosser) Cecce, and Gary Cecce; grandchildren Justin, Joanna, Caitlin, Kristin, Alysia and Nicole. She was preceded in death by her cherished daughter Darci. She retired from St. Joseph's hospital where she worked as a Nurse's Aide. At her request there will be no memorial service, flowers, etc. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, Oct 27, 4-6 pm at the Community Wesleyan Church, 2095 Grand Central Ave., Horseheads, NY.
