JOHNSTON, Michael R. Age 70 of Elmira, NY. He was born February 20, 1944 in Elmira, NY and passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 at home after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his mother and father Lorraine (Wilber) and James Fassbender; brothers Gary and Scott and is survived by his wife of 47 years Linda; daughter Jennifer Johnston (Marcella Velasco) of Cambridge, MA; son Brian Z.; brother Lynn (Roxanne) Johnston of Horseheads; sisters-in-law Marion Storch of Erin, Cheryl (Patrick) Reinhart of Elmira; brother-in-law Carl Larrison with son David of Elmira along with 9 nieces and nephews and 2 great nephews, mother Nancy and many dear friends. Mike and Linda owned and operated Michael's on Davis St. and appreciate the loyalty and friendship of their family of customers over the years. It was Mike's request that services be private and at the convenience of his family.
