Obituary of James R Zawko

ZAWKO, James "Louie" Age 58 of Elmira Heights, NY, passed away on Wednesday December 3rd, 2014, after a lengthy illness. He was born July 27th, 1956, son of the late Nicholas E. Zawko Sr. and Mary E. (Marks) Zawko Gessi. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Nickolas on November 22, 2014 and John in 2011. James is survived by his sister; Mary (George "Peanut") Zawko-Gould , niece; Nikki Gould both of Elmira Heights, sister-in-law; Patti Zawko of Painted Post, nephews; Seth Zawko of Horseheads, and Kenny Zawko of Clearwater Fl., lifelong friend; Tom (Wendy) Watkins of Elmira along with several cousins. Louie enjoyed music, bass fishing, watching the New York Yankees and having fun with his friends and family, especially time spent on Keuka Lake. Friends are invited to the Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake Street at Washington Avenue in Elmira, on Friday December 12th from 3-4 pm. A Memorial Celebration for James will be held at 4 pm.
