Obituary of Orgenia Patterson

PATTERSON, Orgenia Age 80 of Elmira, NY. She was born April 11, 1934 in Cuero, TX, daughter of the late William and Susan Edwards and passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 26 years, George Henry Patterson in 1980, along with 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Orgenia is survived by her four children; Brenda Blye, Georgenia Bowers, George Henry Patterson Jr., and Jeffrey Patterson, her sister; Lucille Myles, 12 grandchildren; 26 great- grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She retired from Vandenberg Air Force Base in Lompoc, CA, where she worked in the paint shop, and then moved to live with each of her daughters. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake Street at Washington Ave., on Saturday, February 14th from 11 am to 12 noon. A service honoring Orgenia's life will follow at 12 pm. Pastor Johnny Vaughns will officiate. Orgenia will return to California to be laid to rest alongside her husband in Lompoc Cemetery.
