Obituary of Aaron Thompkins

Aaron Thompkins Jr, age 60 passed away on Febuary 20, 2015. Aaron was born in Dublin GA on September 28, 1954. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Suzanne Thompkins; his children, Nicole Torres, Heidi Thompkins, Brittany Thompkins, and Melissa Lewis; 11 Grandchildren; Jamar McDowell, Isaiah McDowell, Alissa VanOstrand, Jalexis Stevens, Maliek Stevens, Travon Lewis, Josiah Lewis, Jashonte Stevens, Tanea Thompkins, Mahkell Stevens, and Aliyah Thompkins. Brothers and sisters Jim (Geri) Parks, Roberta Harris, and Grady Lee all of Elmira; James, Walter, Robert Thompkins and Alberta Thomas all of GA; along with several Nieces and Nephews. Predeceased by his Mother Anne Clark, Father Aaron Thompkins Sr, sister Lissie Ann Thompkins, Brothers Curtiss and Valton, and son Kevin VanOstrand. Aaron was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend with a unique genuine caring personality and had a great sense of humor that touched the lives of so many others. He will be dearly missed. Family and friends are invited to his funeral service on Friday, February 27th at 1 pm at Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St at Washington Ave, Elmira. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
