Obituary of Mary D. Johnson

JOHNSON, Mary D. Age 78, of Horseheads, NY, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 18, 2015. Mary was born in New Brocton, AL on April 5, 1937 to the late Andrew and Melissa (Hutchinson) Wells. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Daniel Johnson in 2000 and is survived by her children, Danny Johnson of Elmira, Janice (Joseph) Seals of Elmira, Gerald Johnson of Lilburn, GA, Michael (Jodi) Johnson of Henrietta, NY, and Tammy (David) Johnson of Elmira; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Annie Lue Logan; Annie Laura Lewis, Eva Wells and Sarah Praylor; and her best friend Mary Brooks. Mary had worked at A&P in Horseheads, and Westinghouse before retiring from Purolator Products in Elmira Heights. Family and friends are invited to visit Faith Temple Community C.O.G.I.C., Harper St., Elmira, on Thursday October 22, 2015 from 12 to 1 pm. Her funeral service will follow there at 1pm. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home is assisting the family.
