HORSEY, Pauline
Age 88 of Elmira Heights, NY. She was born May 10, 1924 in Montezuma, GA, daughter of the late Hallie and Bessie (Thomas) Preston and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph W. Horsey, Sr. on August 1, 2008, 4 brothers, 8 sisters and is survived by her daughter Joann (James) Bryant of Elmira Heights; sons Joseph (Debra) Horsey, Jr. of Elmira and Clifford Horsey of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren Nikkol (Jasper) Chiguma of Binghamton, Iman (Andrew) O'Quinn of Brigham City, UT, Maria Horsey of Fairfax, VA and Quinton Parrow of Elmira; great grandchildren Jasper Chiguma, Jr. and Miranda Chiguma both of Binghamton; sisters Cleyon Lee of Vineland, NJ and Maggie (Richard) Horsey of Elmira; sister-in-law Isabella Horsey of Philadelphia, PA.; Goddaughters Lisa (Dempsey) Barnes of San Diego, CA and Nathalie Wilson of Buford, SC. Mrs. Horsey was a member of New Jerusalem Church and served on the Mothers Board, Pastor's Aid and Choir. She was one of the founders of St. Paul's Missionary Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Wednesday, December 19th from 7 to 9 pm. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 20th at 11:30 am in New Jerusalem Church, 1320 Lackawanna Ave., Elmira. Rev. Ella Wells will officiate. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Pauline's family would like to give a special thank you to Clara Fullwood and Francine Stephens for their loving care and support.
