Obituary of Albina Mary Rullo

RULLO, Albina Mary (Cafolla) Age 91 of Elmira, NY. She was born July 24, 1924 in Elmira, NY, daughter of the late Alfred and Rose (Pinelli) Cafolla and passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. In addition to her parents, Albina was predeceased by her adoring husband of 58 years, Peter J. Rullo; son-in-law, Leslie H. Buchholz Jr.; brothers and sisters, Joseph, Alfred, Eugene and Grace Cafolla, Antoinette Glynn, and Mary Doland. She is survived by her loving children, James (Sharon) Rullo of Binghamton, Mary (Thomas) Pesesky of Horseheads, and Michael (Barbara) Rullo of Elmira; dear grandchildren, Brian (Megan), Michael (Alaina), Daniel, and Andrew (Kimberly) Rullo, Christopher (Stacy), Michael (Tatyana), David (Sarah) Brian (Kelli) Buchholz, and Michael Pesesky, Matthew (Natalie) and Timothy (Jennifer) Rullo and Jessica (Christopher) Kozdemba; great grandchildren, Emma and Jack Rullo, Isabella, Gianna, Michael, and Joseph Rullo, Luciana Rullo, Andrew James Jr. and Maya Rullo, Jordan, Aden, and Zoe Buchholz, Michael and Arthur Buchholz , David Buchholz, Hailey and Natalie Buchholz, Carter and Logan Rullo, Jamay, Giuliana, and Gabrielle Rullo, Lia and Lauren Kozdemba; sister, Carmella Dumais, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including special niece and caregiver, Mary Doland. She was our angel on Earth in caring for our mother and grandmother. Albina was a homemaker who took the greatest joy in raising her children and grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. Her cooking will be greatly missed, especially her cookies. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., in Elmira, on Wednesday, January 13th, from 6 to 8 pm. Prayers will be offered there Thursday morning at 10 am. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Church at 10:30 am. Rev. Walter Wainwright, celebrant. Committal prayers and interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
