Obituary of Lissie Ann Thompkins

THOMPKINS, Lissie Ann Age 55 of Elmira, NY. She was born October 28, 1957 in Dublin, GA, daughter of the late Aaron and Annie (Ricks) Thompkins and passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She is survived by her children Roberta, Annie and Stephen Cheatham; step daughter Kiesha Cheatham; adopted daughter Kim Chaffer; grandchildren Jared and Jeremiah Cheatham and Joshua Chaffer all of Elmira; siblings Roberta Harris, Grady Lee, Aaron Thompkins, Jr., Jimmy Parks all of Elmira, James, Walter and Robert Thompkins and Alberta Thomas all of GA; special friends Lionel C. Cheatham, Juanita Thomas, Jacqueline Williams and Richard Payne all of Elmira along with a host of nieces and nephews. Lissie Ann was a CNA and a minister with Key to the Kingdom Church, Dublin, GA. Family and friends are invited to visit Faith Temple Community C.O.G.I.C., Harper St., Elmira on Friday, December 21st from 12 to 1 pm. Her funeral and committal services will follow at 1 pm. Elder Caranell Parks will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home is assisting the family.
