Obituary of Patrick J. Pariso

PARISO, Patrick J., Sr. Age 70 of Elmira, NY. He was born August 12, 1945 in Elmira, son of the late John and Angeline (Altilio) Pariso and passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 very unexpectedly. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Donald and Thomas Pariso. Pat is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara (Grover); children Patrick, Jr. and Robin of Charlotte, NC, Michele and Matthew Gingerich of Chemung; grandchildren Thomas and Ronald (Jennifer) Supernault, Mickala Pariso, Elizabeth and Rebecca-Jean Morgan, Zakery and Dustyn Gingerich; great grandchildren Noah, Rosetta and Anastasia Supernault and Angeline Hodge; siblings John A. (Mary M.) Pariso, Richard (Louise) Pariso and Mary (Bob) Held all of Elmira; sisters-in-law Dolleen Pariso of Elmira and Anne Pariso of Rochester; uncle Ronald Pariso of Elmira; aunts Patricia Neil and Jeanne D'Amico both of FL along with several other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Pat was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam. He retired from the Elmira Police Department with 20 years of service; graduated from the FBI Training Academy; headed the Southern Tier Police Academy and retired from Corning Community College (Criminal Justice). Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Monday, April 11th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 12th at 10 am in St. Patrick's Church. Rev. Walter L. Wainwright, Celebrant.
