Obituary of Anna M. Jones

JONES, Anna M. Age 76 of Big Flats, NY. She was born April 9, 1940 in Elmira, daughter of the late Gerard and Kathryn (Cherkis) Cleary and passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 very unexpectedly. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Harold in 2014 and brothers Robert and Joseph Cleary. She is survived by her sons Stacey and Charles Jones; sister and brother-in-law Mary and Rod Norgren; several nieces and nephews including special niece Cathy Norgren (Skip Staight); special friend Judy Frisk. Anna was a devoted communicant of St. Mary Our Mother Church. She retired from Westinghouse/Eaton after 52 years of service. She enjoyed antiquing, flea markets and shopping (loved bargain hunting); but most of all, Anna loved spending time with her family, especially at large family gatherings. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Wednesday, June 1st from 5 to 7 pm. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 2nd at 9:30 am at St. Mary Our Mother Church, 816 Broad St., Horseheads. Rev. Christopher Linsler, Celebrant. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Rural Home Cemetery.
