Obituary of Gloria Johnson

JOHNSON, Gloria Briggs Age 68 of Horseheads, NY. She was born September 21, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Rose Ada Briggs Pointer and James Briggs and passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, David J. Johnson; husband, Charles E Johnson; sister in law, Pearl T. Briggs, and nephew Adrian D. Briggs of Darby, PA. She is survived by her sister Memory Briggs of Stone Mountain, GA; brothers, David E. Brigs of Darby, PA, and Kenneth T. (Carmen) Briggs of Charlotte, NC; sister in law Linda C. Briggs of Syracuse, NY; brother in law Tyrone Johnson of Greensboro, NC; cousin in law Varnez Coleman of Elmira, NY; God daughter Cheron Rawlings of Elmira, NY, special niece Jill Siler of Stone Mountain, GA; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and special friends, Margie Jones, Gail Bright, Penny Penn, Bob and Cindy Elliott. Gloria was a high spirited woman that even in the midst of her illness never complained and certainly never gave up. She always saw the bright side of things and lifted the spirits of others. Family and friends are invited to visit Faith Temple Community Church Of God In Christ, 722 Standish Street, Elmira, NY on Monday, September, 19, 2016 from 11 am to 1 pm.
