Obituary of Mildred Lillian Burns

BURNS, Mildred Lillian age 85 of Horseheads, NY. She was born March 2, 1931 in Sayre, PA, daughter of the late Earl Noel and Helen (Fletcher) Weed and passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. She was predeceased by her husband Howard R. Burns on August 31, 2005 and siblings Richard Weed, Florence Campbell, Demaries Killgore, Marion Weed, Delos Weed, Anna Lewis, Edwin Weed and Harold Weed. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law Donna and Bob Harris, Dawn Bramble all of Elmira; grandchildren Jennifer, Chris (Alisha) and Steven; great granddaughter Angelina; sister Elsie Loretta Crane of Ulster, PA; sister-in-law Martha Warren of CA along with several nieces and nephews. Mildred was employed with Thatcher Glass for 8 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Sunday, October 2nd from 2 to 4 pm. Her funeral service will follow at 4 pm. Rev. Jerry Berbary will officiate. Interment will take place in Bradford County Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
