Obituary of Mason Alexander Moffett

MOFFETT, Mason Alexander A precious gift to Thomas R. Moffett and Aimee L. Piper, slipped from this Earth on Monday, October 3, 2016 at the tender age of 8 ½ months, far too soon, leaving behind all his loving and adoring family and friends. The memory of his glow, soul and spirit shall serve as our beacon of light, warming our lives for all of our days. He captured the hearts of any and all of those whose lives he happened upon, turning strangers into friends and a fan, with his ready smile and his infectious charm. Our "Littler Guy's" brief time with us was truly a gift, as he was full of life and his was a life lived richly. Mason is survived by his doting, loving parents, Rich and Aimee; maternal grandparents James and Carol Piper; adoring uncles James, Joseph and Donny Piper; paternal grandmother Patricia Hurd; uncles Jeffery (Danielle), Jason, Jeremy and Christopher Smith; aunt Samantha Moffett (Mike); great uncles Bob and Nate Moffett; his devoted caregiver and cousin Kari Wood along with countless relatives, friends and little day care buddies. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Friday, October 7th from 5 to 7 pm. A Celebration of Mason's Life will follow at 7 pm. Private interment will take place in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery at the convenience of his family.
