Obituary of Mary Jane Johnson

JOHNSON, Mary Jane age 89 of Elmira, NY. She was born September 8, 1927 in Elmira, daughter of the late Charles and Mary Jane (Cully) Cook and passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was predeceased by her son David C. Johnson on November 28, 2001 and is survived by her husband of 59 years, Duane; daughter and son-in-law Judith and Craig Kennedy; granddaughter Jordan Nicole Kennedy all of Elmira; sister Margaret Rouse of Cortland, NY along with several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Johnson was a communicant of Ss. Peter & Paul Church. She retired as a Legal Secretary with Sayles & Evans Law Firm after 40 years of service. She volunteered at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center and Ss. Peter & Paul Community Kitchen. Family and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, November 29th at 9:30 am in Ss. Peter & Paul Church. Rev. Richard Farrell, Celebrant. Committal prayers and interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
