Obituary of Cleveland D. Jones

JONES, Cleveland D. Jr. Age 71 of Elmira, NY. He was born in Monroe, VA and passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017. He is the son of the late Cleveland D. Sr. and Aileen (Massie) Jones. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Delores Jones Early. He is survived by his children Dennis Jones of Ithaca, Douglas Jones of CA and Clevette Jones of Elmira; stepchildren Regina Callahan of, GA and Ronald Holt of Elmira; grandchildren Kara Jones, Niera Jones, DiJon Jones and Nevaeh Booker; siblings Barbara (Charles) Gregg of MD, Kenneth (Wanda) Jones of NC, George (Amy) Jones of NY, Brenda Jones (Ron) Hardy of NY, Michael Jones of KY, David Jones of RI, Sylvia Jones McCauley of NY, Edith Jones of NY and Michele Bell of NJ along with a host of nieces and nephews. Cleveland retired from Hardinge, Inc. in 2001 after 35 years of service. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Tuesday, June 20th from 4 to 6 pm. His funerals service will follow at 6 pm with Rev. Sharon Lee Hairston (Jones) and Rev. DeLaine Bailey officiating. Burial will take place in the Jones Family Cemetery, Monroe, VA at the convenience of the family.
